Ashes Series breaks records on Foxtel and Kayo

Sydney – XX January 2022: Foxtel Media today revealed that the 2021/22 Ashes Series was the most-watched Test Series ever on subscription television, with an average audience of 438,000 viewers tuning in on Foxtel and Kayo.

Viewership increased by 17 per cent compared with the previous series against India last summer which saw an average audience of 373,000.

Session three of the Boxing Day Test played in Melbourne made history as the top test session across Foxtel and Kayo, with an average audience of 580,000 tuning in to watch Australia secure the Ashes with an emphatic victory, bookended by Scott Boland’s incredible bowling performance on debut.

Despite The Ashes already decided, there was still strong viewership for the final test in Hobart with an average audience of 490,000 tuning in on Foxtel and streaming on Kayo to watch Australia claim a 4-0 series win.
