Mr Loverman Main

BAFTA award-winning drama MR. LOVERMAN, starring Lennie James, will make its Australian debut on Wednesday, 4 June at 9.00am on BINGE, with all episodes available to stream at once.

Adapted by Nathaniel Price (The Outlaws, Noughts & Crosses) from the acclaimed novel by Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo, MR. LOVERMAN is a bold, witty and deeply moving portrait of love, identity, and family.

MR. LOVERMAN centres on 74-year-old Barrington Jedidiah Walker, played by BAFTA winner Lennie James (The Walking Dead, Line of Duty, Save Me) - a dapper Hackney gentleman, devoted father and husband to Carmel, played by Sharon D. Clarke (Ellis, Doctor Who) - who has secretly been in a relationship with his best friend, Morris, played by Ariyon Bakare (His Dark Materials, Karen Pirie), for over fifty years.

The series arrives on BINGE fresh from its celebrated run at the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards, where it was honoured with two of the night’s biggest accolades: Leading Actor for Lennie James and Supporting Actor for Ariyon Bakare.

The ensemble cast includes Tamara Lawrance, Sharlene Whyte, Tahj Miles, Juliet Garricks, Suzette Llewellyn, Lochlann Ó Mearáin, Llewella Gideon, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

MR. LOVERMAN (8 x 30 mins) is directed by Hong Khaou (Baptiste, Lilting, Monsoon) and executive produced by Faye Ward, Hannah Farrell and Hannah Price for Fable Pictures, with Jo McClellan for the BBC. Lennie James and Hong Khaou also serve as executive producer, with Nathaniel Price as associate producer. Fable Pictures is a Sony Pictures Television (SPT)-backed company, and SPT handled global distribution for MR. LOVERMAN.
