FOXTEL celebrates over 90 Emmy Wins

FOXTEL has once again established its place as home to the world’s best drama and entertainment content with over 90 wins at The 74th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards including The White Lotus as the most awarded television series including a win for Australian Murray Bartlett. The winners were announced today honouring an incredible line-up of shows available to watch in Australia on FOXTEL On Demand and via the suite of integrated apps.

The 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were hosted by Kenan Thompson (actor, comedian, and producer) and broadcast live on FOXTEL from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

The White Lotus, Succession and Euphoria took home multiple wins at this year’s 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

HBO’s satire comedy The White Lotus was the most awarded series receiving 10 wins, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and an acting nod for Australian Murray Bartlett for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his role as fastidious resort manager Armond. Jennifer Coolidge won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, and two wins for Director and writer Mike White for Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

The second instalment of The White Lotus returns to FOXTEL this year, following a different group of vacationers, leaving Hawaii behind as they jet to another White Lotus property in Sicily and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.

The critically acclaimed drama series Succession set in New York and centred around the Roy family and their family-controlled media conglomerate, won four awards including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Matthew Macfadyen and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. Production has commenced in New York on Season four of Succession and Seasons 1-3 are available to watch On Demand on FOXTEL.

Break out hit series Euphoria received six awards including Outstanding Lead Actress In a Drama Series for Zendaya’s performance as troubled teen, Rue Bennett.

Other FOXTEL series to win awards include:

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver received three wins including Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series.

A Black Lady Sketch Show received two wins for Outstanding Directing For A Variety Series and Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming and long-running comedy Saturday Night Live won Variety Sketch Series.

George Carlin's American Dream, which chronicles the life and work of the legendary comedian received a win for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special and HBO docuseries 100 Foot Wave received a win for Outstanding Cinematography for a Nonfiction Program.

FOXTEL viewers are now able to enjoy more than 90 Emmy winning moments all in one place thanks to the integration of Netflix, Amazon Prime, SBS and ABC iView apps on iQ3, iQ4 and iQ5 set top boxes.
