Australian boxing superstar Tim Tszyu (27 wins / 3 losses) has declared he is ‘ready to shock the world’ when he squares off with former unified three-belt world champion Errol Spence Jr (28 wins / 1 loss) at Sydney’s AfterPay Arena on Sunday, 26 July.
Main Event, available on Kayo SPORTS, is the only place you can watch this must-see pay-per-view extravaganza that will also feature a super-featherweight showdown between Liam Wilson (18 wins / 3 losses) and Stephen Fulton (23 wins / 2 losses) plus the return of Australian middleweight prospect Callum Peters (7 wins / 0 losses).
In what is shaping as the most anticipated boxing event of the year, all eyes will be Errol Spence Jr and Tim Tszyu this Sunday afternoon.
For Spence Jr, this fight presents an opportunity to show the world he is back following a three-year absence from the sport.
While for Tszyu, this is his chance to shock the world once again and prove “The Phoenix” is back at the top of his craft.
“Errol is a talented fighter, but I’ve had an awesome preparation and with a sold-out crowd behind me, I’m confident I can get this win and continue to build on my legacy” Tszyu said.
“Spence did some disrespectful things to me back in the US which I haven’t forgotten.
“I’ll let my fists do the talking on Sunday and finish his career once and for all”. Tszyu said.
For Spence Jr, Sunday’s fight provides the 36-year-old an opportunity to return to big time boxing for the first time since his loss to Terrence Crawford in 2023.
“I’ve been preparing for this fight for a long-time and I can’t wait for that bell to ring on Sunday” Spence Jr said.
“He talked a lot of trash before this fight was announced and now, I have my time to get redemption.
“I respect Tim as a fighter, but he has never fought a beast like me. On Sunday, I’m going to show him and the whole world that “The Truth” is back. Spence Jr said.
The co-main event promises to be just as explosive with former world title contender Liam Wilson set to go battle it out over twelve rounds against Stephen Fulton.
Victory for Wilson will open the door for a potential world title fight later this year, with the 30-year-old Queenslander promising to put it all on the line on Sunday.
“This is a massive fight in the context of my career and I’m ready to give it my all” Wilson said.
“Fulton is a tough fighter, but I’ll be ready for whatever he throws at me.
“This is what big-time boxing is all about and when that bell rings for Round 1, I’ll be ready for a war” Wilson said.
Rounding out this Australia v USA boxing extravaganza will be a middleweight clash between Calum Peters and undefeated Argentinian Ivan Ricardo Actis (13 wins / /1 draw).
Peters, a highly regarded prospect out of South Australia looks certain to face his toughest test to date against his hard-hitting southpaw opponent.
“I’m excited to get out there and test myself against a more experienced opponent like Actis” Peters said.
“He is undefeated for a reason and I’m under no illusion this will be my toughest test to date.
“But that’s what gets me excited. The chance to get out there and show that I’m ready to compete with the best.” Peters said.
No Limit CEO George Rose predicts this will be the greatest day in Australian boxing history and encourages fans all over the country to purchase the pay-per-view now.
“Tickets are sold out and the eyes of the world will be on Afterpay Arena this Sunday.
“I encourage everyone to buy the pay-per-view and get behind our fighters as they set about making history.
“Tim, Liam and Callum are all ready to rumble and represent our country with pride and courage.
“There has never been a card like this in Australia before and I’m delighted that the whole country has an opportunity to experience it live on Main Event” Rose said.
